I imagine this is about how it would sound (sans the Ringo vocals) if Jeff and ELO just did a version of it themselves. Especially the bridge, with that huge chunky thundering rhythm.

The story I heard was that it was supposed to be The Travelling Wilburys and Ringo as a guest vocalist, but the rest of the Wilburys didn't want to get involved, for different reasons.

Strange, the old beatle song suits ringo's vocal. Fantastic and yes he can drum. If he couldn't The other three wouldnot have called him in. Not every drummer can be Cozy Powel.
