The Rik Emmett Band live in San Antonio, Texas on April 27, 2012. This song is dedicated to Dave Dunlop, the other guitarist in the band. He could not make the show due to a death in the family. This is a very rare power trio performance from Rik.

A lot of these early 80's bands did most of their writing in their 20's naturally the voices are thinner and higher. But with that said a little age and seasoning they warm up and get more soulful. Its a trade off. Still sounds good.

To be fair, it's not always the 'rock and roll lifestyle' that brings singers down. For example, Billy Squier wrote all his stuff at the top of his range. Recordings sound great. But going out night after night having to get up at the top 5% of his range killed him. Sure, a mess of em don't treat their voice like a prized instrument, but there are those who bring it on themselves in different ways. .02

I love this man's music. I was 11 years old hearing my first Triumph song and I didn't know what band sung it but I came across some old lost MTV vids and there it was!

Using an 5150 head, from the MIGHTY VAN HALEN, and it sounds good, he still got it, and this song never gets old.
