I remember hearing this song on the B side of Poor Little Fool, and I loved Poor Little Fool, and in my young life, I heard a lot of great ricky nelson songs, but this to me was a sleeper, very underrated, and now that I'm a Senior I'm going to introduce it to the world because nobody did that in the 50's and 60'. I remember playing it at home after my sisters's 18th BD party, and she didn't like it, in fact she ordered me to turn it off. I think something happened at my sisters age 18 party hurt her, so she would be in a bad mood to listen to anything. I didn't know that then, so the song is not bad, my poor sister was just hurt emotionally by someone at her 18th BD party. If you see me on NBC Nightly news," hey a senior has a # 1 hit and two years ago he didn't know much about music" That will be me doing DOWN HOME at the age of 66.
