*STEREO*. One of my all-time 'favourite of favourites' - and also for Mrs SirBdeB. Rick Nelson singing "Down Home", from his 1963 album 'Rick Nelson Sings For You'. Beautiful and poignant for a lost time.

This song and many others that Ricky Nelson sang were songs I used to listen to growing up. I had a connection with his music and would sing along. I was not around in that error but enjoy his tunes in this one. Good memories.

One of Rick's best. I was at OAK ALLEY. .. Last week and this song came to mind...as well as his cover of SUMMERTIME..

My love affair with R&R began with two events: 1. The playing of "Rebel Rouser"at a 7th grade talent show in Miami Springs 2. The introduction to stero with the playing of this record by my best friend Jim Inglis whose birthday is today. Happy Halloween my departed brother".

What a perfect song by Rick in 1963, the 'B' side to 'Fools rush in'. Probably one of the best guitar solos by James Burton too.
