Rick James performs "Farmers In Need Of Help" live at the Farm Aid concert in Austin, Texas on July 4, 1986. Farm Aid was started by Willie Nelson, Neil Young and John Mellencamp in 1985 to keep family farmers on the land and has worked since then to make sure everyone has access to good food from family farmers. Dave Matthews joined Farm Aid's board of directors in 2001.

A side to Rick James that should have been 'cultivated' itself.Since he was apparently'too Black' for Black Radio he should have released political songs like this more. This is miles better than the other 'rambling' video from Farm Aid on here.Where he needlessly plays on some keyboard and his back-up girls are Very Noticeable by their absence .psTo Phuck...Would growing plants like that be SO BAD ?Cannabis is used medically for lots of uses without it even being smoked once.

Rick James and the Stone City Band dropped their first album the same year that Prince dropped his first album. 1978. You and I was Ricks first single and Soft and Wet was Prince's first single.
