Ray Charles was one of Richard's great idols.I always wished that Ray would rerecord this tune and others that had that giant outdated (for me) choir behind him.This more barebones approach.Richard had a tug in his voice that always got to me.Whispering Pines when he says 'inside my LOOOONELY room" I also wonder what his life was like at this time 1983
