Thought this tune would be too short at a buck thirty-four but it runs as long as it should. They put work into the production and when it's finished, it seems fuller than 1:34. Good fun. REM had a great run and should be very proud of their legacy. One of the best bands that America ever produced. Irony is we forgot them after Bill Berry left. Me included. To be fair, I purchased Up not long after it's released and I never felt the same about the band again. Played that CD at work and someone asked if it was Phil Collins. Not far off.Couple good songs on every album and Imitation of Life is one of the best singles of their entire career. Leaving New York is nice but for REM? Accelerate brought them back to the masses for which I was glad. Easily their best release as a three legged dog.Was lucky enough to see them outside at Rutgers in the spring of1984. Greeeaaat show. Michael in his raincoat spinning to Harborcoat. Saw them again in '87 when 10,000 Maniacs opened. Very good show included Michael singing his part on A Campfire Song. Ciao.
