There are very few great songs that can be "improved upon" without sounding irritating or presumptuous (unless you happen to be in the live audience, when you're more forgiving, more connected to the "magic"). Ray Charles does it best, with magnificent style and class, lifting the song to a higher level from where it is nearly untouchable. (His rendition of "America"--not a great song in itself, but important in the American psyche--is also magnificent.)

I love how even tho this song was originality sung by the Beatles Ray sang it his own way it's so much different i'v heard the the Beatles sing this i'v heard frank Sinatra sing this and they all sound different. And that's what made the grates of music history grate they sang what they wanted to sing not what someone else did or what was big at the time and this goes for every type of music Rap/rock/country and some people might disagree but music artist today have started to lose that.
