How good was Pete Willis in the early days of Def Leppard? Seriously good.

I first heard this at school and thought it was very good as the only stuff around when I was younger was that American sounding stuff but this has that Sheffield steel to it and great to hear Rick Allen au natural and I was told me was about 16 at this time and for a 16 year old he is very good. I used to have a photo on my wall growing up of Rick in Union Jack shorts and a fan next to his bass drum. A lot of my heroes were punks so it was difficult to get on my wall.

It was great to grow up with Def Leopard. Still sounds great I remember being able to turn it up a lot louder back then. What happened to all those cranking stereo's everyone had.
