I like what everyone's saying about Pete, I thought I was one of the majority who liked his playing. Even thou I'm a Drummer, it doesn't matter. His style and the way he approached his solos were executed with authority.Someone else here said the same thing I was thinking. In Tribute of Steve, they should've of gotten Pete to play. Anyways Cool video slaughterswoman.

I love the wall of guitars. Always have. But hey, Pete got credits on Pyromania...you have to admit Def Leppard hasn't been the same since the death of Steve Clark....who also had a major drinking problem.

At 2:22 Pete is shown with a tobacco burst explorer, matches the exact details or Rickey Medlocke's as seen in the 1977 Zurich video. They toured together in 81, Charlie Hargrett writes about it one his blog. Charlie also went on to get fired... but seems to remember fondly touring with Pete. They both get my vote as underdogs of the decade, Pete, obviously wrote razor sharp riffs and is one of my guitar hero's. Charlie, made everything look easy. What is he, 6'3"?

Pete was awesome & Steve should've stood by his friend! Everyone goes through a drinking phase. Pete & Steve rocked & wrote all of the best tracks!

This period for the band was really testing. just finishing the first album, onto the second with Mutt Lange as producer, they weren't used to his style of working. so the guys had to adjust, but for Pete, seemed to be too much. he managed to get through this(maybe the drink helped) then onto work on Pyromania when it was the final straw with Mutt and the band. with Pete drunk and not with it, the band had to do something or risk losing everything. And I reckon Mutt wasn't going to carry on until this was sorted. but in that short period, Pete managed to get his sound on the album before the band gave him the "spanish archer"(elbow out of the band) both he and Steve produced a brilliant album from a guitar point of view. that can never be taken away from Pete. Hope he's doing good all these years on.

When Willis left I guess he took the heavy metal of Def Leppard with him :/ I never really liked them after they went full-on pop with Hysteria onwards.

Pete was 17 or younger when he joined DL. He got too attached to booze, as other DL members did. He should have been replaced temporarily, until he could handle the booze, or quit it. The whole band drank. I believe that Steve drank as much as Pete, but was given more respect and patience. Pete was much better looking than Phil. So as far as him adding sex appeal, I guess some may think Phil is better looking, but Pete is the most attractive guy I've seen in my 43 years on planet earth. I hope I could meet a guy who looks as good as he does.
