Ola said in the Sam ash demo video that you can use any tubes you want in this thing so does that mean you could go from half kt88 half 6l6 to full kt88 by replacing the 6l6 tubes and rebiasing or what?9 years ago

Do not take this video seriously. As the amp in this video is Fortin's amp.What comes from Randall may differ A LOT.There is almost no videos or reviews from users of this amp.Mike Fortin does not confirm how chinese Randall Satan is built inside as well.So the final product may not be as good. 9 years ago

SooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooSomewhere before the gain, you've got the 6irth bypassing a fairly small cap right after the coupling cap to sluff off bass and the 6rind is the same deal, but controls how much highs you send to ground. Pretty dramatic change there.... I imagine they're both dual-ganged and operate in the 1st and second gain stages. Pretty nice! Let's you go from an ENGL-esque topography to a 5150-ish one. Still some decent 2nd order harmonics there so well done on the biasing stage by stage, Mr Fortin!9 years ago

Says this amp has two kt88. My old crate blue voodoo has 4 pre amp tubes! Is the pre amp stage on the satan tube? Seems like two is not enough but sounds great! Makes me think that the pre amp stage is solid state though. Anyone know?10 years ago

Thanks for this video the amp looks great! Looks like it could be a real working man's amp. You know when it's not always convenient to take your cabs with you to a gig and you have to rely on whatever shitty back-line the venue gives you, or rent a cab from a music store which may be good but just isn't the same as yours. Well the 3 gain knobs could help you dial in just the right high gain sound :) Does this amp come with a foot switch? That Kill switch looks like it would be useful to turn on and off with a foot switch. Anyways thanks for the demo. Certainly an amp i'd consider buying :)10 years ago

that is a really nice concept w/ the high and low freq. for 6ain. i have been doing a similar trick with a gnx4 running fx only thru my EVH 5150 III. you can play with the gain parameter on it thru the eq setting. really good idea to put it on the amp....10 years ago
