It's sad, I have lived in Ft. Worth for 20 years and hardly anyone around here knows Townes. One of the greatest American songwriters of all time deserves a memorial in the middle of downtown (though I'm sure he would have strongly opposed it).

Can anyone help? Im looking for the name of a song that was in a kings of leon documentary. Its playing in the background and during the commentary when asked what the song is they say its townes. Its quite an up tempo song and the chorus has the line " pick up your bags and carry yourself home".

this is the best vocal performance of this song I've heard, but while I appreciate the backing instruments, they are not needed. all that's needed are townes and his guitar. (if you don't believe that, hear the version from "a private concert.")
