I think modern screamo and emoviolence are two useful terms separating two different generations and with that, styles of music, but sometimes people take it too far with the music genres. Pretty soon it will be one genre for every band, and only a select few things can represent a genre by itself, like cowboy bebop, and the pixies.

I like how real screamo sticks with its punk roots. I know punk is about freedom, according to Kurt Cobain, but you can deviate only to a certain extent before its start sounding like shit and you begin to attract scene kids.
