The description is wrong, the acclaimed album is the prequel of this rubbish.

Sometimes I'm afraid that it doesn't matter anymore what we, "as a people", do....! I'm afraid that it's out of our hands now; maybe it's always been? Does anyone know what's going on????? Please enlighten me ~ I'm not usually this scared, but I live in a small town where everyone knows your business. My parents were active church goers. They're gone now & I live in the Family House w/ my kids. Not many people in our small town believe in God & I feel I'm under grave scrutiny. I guess you could say I'm scared....I feel that our whole lives have been a lie!!!! I take that very personal; it hurts.~ peace

The drums, bass playing, and guitar playing were all done by studio musicians that weren't in the band for this song. It's so crazy. Literally the only 'authentic' thing here are the vocals-- which is that of a progressive rock/metal guy trying to sound like a Limp Bizkit rap metal / nu metal guy.God...

I don't mind mindcrime II but it doesn't even compete with the original mindcrime

Awesome video. I assume the lyrics of the chorus are tongue in cheek, they're just having fun

I always had my doubts while listening to the drumming on this album, even before the whole 2012 drama happend, I read somewhere that Scott Rockenfield did not even play on this record. I'm a drummer and a HUGE Scott Rock fan and after hearing the whole record again, I noticed. I don't know how I didn't notice it before, but it's clearly someone else playing drums. That's not Scott's style or way of playing.

Didn't they already touch on this subject matter in "Anybody Listening"? Loved Queensryche since the early eighties (Warning, Rage, etc.), and way beyond, but I think they should just tour, etc,... and leave the LEGENDARY status behind them. Mindcrime should never have had a "sequal". Rock on ESP players, -SS

Honestly, aren't many of the negative reviews of American Soldier just posted because some considered it unpatriotic? So was the Revolution. I'm not stopping anyone from enlisting to go kill and die on command. I'm saying there's no reason to.

Bold. I'm with Queensryche. Always will be. If psychopaths want to go die in a desert, I can't stop them. They're rather to kill. Anyone who's been through basic knows you MUST KILL ON COMMAND. pathetic.

Hilarious watching the drummer play to this. The drums for this track are a MIDI recording the producer came up with on his laptop that somehow got overlooked and included on the album.

this song wouldnt be that bad if they put as much production into as empire and so forth plus the guitar tone is totally weak

tbh I didn't even like Promised Land. Empire was my cutoff point lol

Its not so much that they've changed styles, its just that this sounds so cheap and amateur, it lacks the songwriting depth, and the production sounds so bad too. The first EP all the way up to Promised Land had everything that made Queensryche good. Since then, DeGarmo left, and they just haven't been the same.

This is what happens when Chris DeGarmo leaves your band.

The whole album is good, better than everything they have done after Empire, imo.

Except this album happened 7 years ago and has been considered a disgrace to the original since it's release. Especially this laughable song. Look on the bright side though, it's at least a marginally better album than American Soldier and Dedicated to Chaos!
