I absolutely agree with you. Tate was going in a completely different direction when "Promised Land" came out,but the album still sounded great cause De Garmo and the band were still writing as an entire group. Oh yes and the Cabaret tour, that was terrible I am just glad the Ryche is returning to it's glory once more. I loved the demo of the upcoming album. Ryche on my friend!

In your opinion Alice Cooper would be a big distraction at the live concerts. A great phrase of Pete Townsend was: "A concert is a celebration of the music recorded, if you only wanna hear the music put the record in your home". If they follow the Geoff's ideas without raise a individual opinion, they don't deserve the meanning of the word MAN.

Dont get me wrong I enjoy Promised Land and Here In The Now Frontier has some gems on it too but the Live Shows starting with the Promised Land Tour were becoming like Tate Broadway Musical with actors on stage and big props & set & Im not talking just Operation Mindcrime songs either. The whole show was almost centered around Tates stage idea's that were a distraction from the music. It all was 10 times worse with the really embarrassing cabaret live show fiasco years later. Glad Tate is gone!

You said it! The average QR fan doesnt know all the facts & side with Geoff cause he was the front man with a great voice. The beginning of the slow end really started around the Promised Land Album period. Chris Degarmo had to negotiate with Tate to get him at Big Log Studio to record. Tate was about to quit the band then for a solo career & you'll notice the dramatic turn from metal the music made from that stage on in an effort by Degarmo to cater some to Tates desire to be a more pop band.

Geoff still sounds incredible, it's too bad he is only playing these songs begrudgingly, and turned his back on metal. The arrangement here is looser, not nearly as "metal", but the band sounds great.

The albums that identify Queensryche are considered "STUPID" by Geoff Tate. Plus the founding members of this band are Michale Wilton and Scott Rockenfield, yet he takes the matters to court. On top of that no matter what happens, you don't spit on your drummer publicly during a concert. And this happened more than one time,I think that says enough right there.

I don't believe one side but actions speak louder than words.... Read all the legal papers and you'll see what's up. Kelly Gray's induction by Tate also messed up the band,De Garmo had reasons to leave that involved Tate not just that how would you explain the Operation Mindcrime movie deal he struck with a company without letting the other members and co writers De Garmo and Michale Wilton know about that,he planned to take all the money made from that movie.

you cant just believe what the 1 says, every argument and fight is 2sided smh, youre only hearing what jackson wants you to hear..the drummer even taunted him saying we just fired your family n your next wtf is that? smh, so it was ok for rockenfield to taunt and pick but not geoff? lol yeah ok, and tate and susan are divorcing also:/ like i said, its 2 sided,not1 tate has 30 years invested in the ryche and this other lil dummy has what 5? lol yeah tate def has much right as the elder members

Amooooooooooo! Geoff Tate. Aqui no Brasil não aguento mais pagode, funk, essas porcarias, nasci no país errado. Queensryche always!

He wasn't fired for lack of ability; Eddie Jackson's court papers regarding the firing were just made public. Tate, according to the rest of the band, physically assaulted Rockenfield, had a my-way-or-the-highway approach to working with the rest of the band, and his wife -- their manager -- admitted that she was working for the betterment of Tate individually than them as a band.
