When I was younger I didn't understand my fathers views. I'm older now. Any chance for reconciliation, or communication should be taken in any case I believe. If he did not try in your youth you should reach out in your adulthood. otherwise you my regret the lost chance.

I am glad you had a father in your life. My father and step father were both crap. This song is a great song; however, I would not spend the time on either one to send a message this song provides. They are both dead now and life is much better for me knowing neither one can influence my life any longer.
