Queens of the Stone Age, "No One Knows" guitar lesson. Next we're using the Malekko Sloika distortion to match the fierce attack from Josh Homme's guitar tone. The key to this and many QOTSA songs is the C standard tuning, down two whole steps. You'll find that the heaviness from No One Knows relies mainly on the added depth from a lower pitch over the amount of distortion. The Malekko Sloika is a multi band distortion with excellent note definition and dynamics, an ideal candidate for this riff where minor chords can often get lost in the mud. The chorus also utilizes sliding octaves which can take some time to master! Enjoy your daily guitar lesson.

Everyone mind that they are showing standard chords despite them being in C standars aka two whole steps lower. You have to lower chords two whole steps aka four frets, Em7 at being is Cm7 in that position and tuning, B7 is G7 and D# is B. TBH I play that song in standard tuning, I just loose low C on bass string.
