I don't like it when artists change songs. The reason i like a particular song is because it's THAT song in THAT way

That´s a luxury to see Natasha, Alain, and Mark Lanegan on the same stage. The chorus is the best part for me.

This version is kind of, meh. Joey ruined it and no awsome guitar solo.

@louisalive I glad that you saw the Song 2 cover, lol, cause that song really shows how skilled I am :)

@HaNSoNnDaDrummer mate, when you can drum even better than me (i've seen your videos, drums are my third instrument) I'll listen to you slag off someone's technical ability...

@louisalive Dude, brilliant? Are you kidding me? And btw, he doesn't play clean in other versions, way too fast. Damn, I'm sick of this discussion.

@HaNSoNnDaDrummer It's just the direction of the band dude. I think Joey's incredibly creative, he's a steady drummer and he isn't trying to be a cliche. Post a decent cover of "Battery acid", THEN you can tell me he's shit. His version's of Dave's parts are Brilliant as well... probably the best performance of song for the death is with Joey BDO '03... it's very messy, but that's what I love about it. He plays it allot cleaner in other versions, before you start calling him "messy" in general

@louisalive If you compare A Song for the Dead to for example, like you said, Run Pig Run, I think it's pretty clear.

@HaNSoNnDaDrummer well, we're all wrong once in a while... Joey's as good as any rock drummer

HaNSoNnDaDrummer

@louisalive Joey is, as I see it, a little bit conservative and sticks to those basic patterns too much.

@louisalive A song for the dead is awesome, his 'cover' of avon is great as well, god is in the radio, a song for the deaf is nicely done too. I agree with you that it's supposed to fit the track, that's why, for example, I love Phil Rudd that much. I just 'hate' (it's a big word) Joey, because his trying to fit the track too much. Dave has proven that you can experiment and not just stick with the basic patterns. He tried to push the QotSA limit and did that damn good. (Read next post)

@HaNSoNnDaDrummer what would you consider a "good" drum part by dave grohl then? I wouldn't say there's anything that "interesting" apart from "first it giveth". Thing about drums, is.. it's supposed to keep time and fit the track. Does Joey do that? Yes, even YOU can't disagree with that. Stop disrespecting Joey Castillo unless you want everyone to think you're a moron

He can have all these shiny gimmicks, he doesn't need them at all. And, the drums on run pig run are pretty boring and consist of only two parts, so :)
