On this day in 1984 {January 14th} Quarterflash performed "Take Me to Heart" on the late Dick Clark's 'American Bandstand'... It peaked at #6 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and #14 on the Top 100... Their biggest hit was "Harden My Heart"; which reached #1 {for 3 weeks} on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in December 1981... R.I.P. Mr. Clark {1929 - 2012}..
