Too bad the rest of their albums never lived up to this one.

Song brings back memories of my college days. Good times.

Their old stuff is good, but I feel like their newer stuff is so much better. More technical, better song writing. Also, Todd rules and I love the songs he sings in.

Great music but too melancholy for me.

Well, I used to skip school. I ended highschool with 18 and an average mark of 7.9. Right now I own a workshop with a bunch of friends (I'm 24 years old, BTW) and frankly... skipping school ended up being best thing I did in my entire-fucking-life.

This list is fucking awesome. I saw so many of these groups when I was in high school back in the early 90's. Thanks OP for the memories.

I too find it amusing, but not ironically though. More in a consequential way. You would expect them to be a pour speller as a consequence of skipping school. Even I know that and I'm a high school dropout. ;-) See what I did there.

sure, if you're using the word 'ironic' sarcastically. as sarcasm is a form of irony, that's a double irony. meta-irony. do you want to go down this road?

It's ironic but it's difficult to fully explain why. To put it simply it's ironic because skipping school is something most people (where i live) do at least occasionally and thus you wouldn't expect it to actually correlate to such awkward spelling. Yes irony generally describes the unexpected but it can also describe that which is so cliche it's an anomaly precisely because it doesn't break any of your expectations what-so-ever!

The US school system pushes a lot of people away. Obviously knowledge of science, english math, etc. is a foundation to do great things... but recognize that showing up for every class and finishing high school is not the only way, and if you disagree, why the fuck are you listening to this? Clearly you do not get it. Lastly, no one is perfect, don't pick on people for spelling. Being more intelligent or knowledgeable or having a better memory doesn't give you the right to be a dickhead.

so you never skipped..? not once? I skipped a lot of school and I am a success - working on a masters as well. All I said was I bet a lot of us skipped, and I get these profane responses in my email... so, for such a "smart" guy, you have a lot of time to criticize others with single syllable low brow expressions. I never said anything other than skipped school - YOU projected your own meaning onto my comment - and I'M the thick fuck? No, fuck you. Congratulations on your degree!
