For a song this old you sure do hear Robin's signature sound shine through though he was still perfecting it. And it's fitting that it is a tribute to Jimi as it has that Hendrixes que sound that reminds me of the psychedelic stuff like 3rd Stone from the sun from the first Experience album. Love Trower's dreamy spacey stuff. It puts me in a trance....

Another favorite from my favorite band. Robin shined by writing and performing this one. It seems that Gary Brooker was not much involved listening to it but B.J. Wilson is there giving the track the crowning touch with inspired drumming as usual. Heck, I have admired every single member of the band from start to the present day..Seeing them live many times in the 60's and 70's was always a special treat for me and a very much "look forward to" occasion.

I had read somewhere that this song is an elegy to Hendrix death. Looking around the web some, it seems there is some disagreement. I love this song. It was a revelation when I heard for the first time on the album. Radio was playing the title track for the album and Simple Sister.
