Chrissie wasn't all that excited when she accepted the award because she doesn't see herself as a Celebrity. She Thinks the award system is so "un- rock and roll", and i agree... sort of.
But the award went to the original line-up of Chrissie Hynde, Pete Farndon, James Honeyman-Scott, and Martin Chambers, and Chrissie and Martin accepted.
but it was televised so she finds the dignity to restrain from saying those "ever so dreadfull words four year olds say" Shit and Fuck

What I love about Chrissie is that her attitude is one of the few remaining extensions of the original punk mentality - sometime in the early to mid-70's the kids just said "Fuck All," and Chrissie was part of that - anyone who has said "Fuck All" since then has done it knowing it could be done - the original punks didn't have a clue what the result would be14 years ago
