I thought it might be an interesting fact: The Porushka-Paranya song is originated from the XVIII century (!) from the Afanassievka village of the Belgorod region in Russia (I am proud to be born just few miles from that village) , and has traditionally been sang in the style amazingly close to hip-hop: it's actually a dance song with with men tapping the frequesnt rithm with their boots. The song's been covered by many, the latest not a bad version is by the band "After 11" ("Posle 11")...

This band was not the first to play it in bluegrass style. They are following in the footsteps of the band Kukuruza - the specific group from the late 1980s and early 1990s who came as the first Russian bluegrass players to the United States and performed on the Grand Old Opry. This groups is good, but that group in Kukuruza - Irina Surina, Sergey Mosolov, Andre Shepelev, Anatolyia Belchikov, Alexei Aboltynsh, George Palmov, and Mikhail Venikov were phenomenal!
