I am totally bummed out that that they have left the USA. What a real group of amazingly talented people. This is a major loss to everyone. Thank you Bearing Straight for the time you spent with us.

*Bering Strait*Obninsk, RussiaCountry*_______________________________________________________*Bering Strait was a country music band made up of musicians from Russia, that mixed country music with traditional Russian song making. Their style was sometimes called "redgrass" (a reference to bluegrass). The band achieved prominence in 2003, being nominated for a Grammy Award and featured in a segment on the prestigious American news program 60 Minutes, but never caught on with major sales. The group disbanded in 2006.

music is business...that is contrived...i am not saying that is good, i am saying that is what is....the dollar people control music to control the money, but the net is changing a lot...not fast enough as far as i am concerned, but fast sometimes means violent and thats not a good idea either...you must admit many musicians are lured by the money...but it is a culture of losers, because the dollar people control things per-retty much, and most who compete do not succeed...spell it C O N T R O L

@MrSpunkpump Go fuck yourself. Hip hop used to have soul and funk in it. Creating hip hop lyics that are meaningful takes talent. Too bad youv'e never heard any.

@Patriotman54 This was just an instrumental. Their vocals were excellent. I got the chance to see them live, and they were phenomenal. They put out 2 albums. Both still get lots of play in my car, especially when traveling any good distance. Look them up on Amazon or even E bay. The first is self titled and the second was titles "Pages".

@PoisonedV If only it were that straight forward. You can't place rap even in the same category as this. This is MUSIC !!! Most rap aspires to be poetry, but is usually just violent, misogynistic, hateful crap that sells because people lack any social refinement. Unfortunately, the rare insightful and truly talented get lost in the mix. Even Pop has it's place as just feel good fluff, and getting people up to dance.

I had a chance to see these guys live at a show they did at Ft Campbell KY several years ago. I have to say they are one of the nicest, most dynamic bands I have seen in a long time. It broke my heart when I heard they broke up.

i love going to videos to listen to some song and i hear a bunch of shitty narrowminded people with a short range of tastes constantly insulting rap, pop, or any type of music besides the type featured in the video. how is it fucking related? people who dont suck can like both

There will be music so long as there are human beings. Now is not a particularly fertile time for anything truly creative as the deadly corporate apparatus repeatedly seeks to homogenize and find a sure fire "formula" for stuff that has a quick appeal to impulse buyers. Part of the problem is a lack of sophistication on the part of the average listener. The typical attention span does not conduce to serious listening (or songwriting or playing). Where are the songwriters on "American Idol"?
