I just love this tune! Jeff Beck and Alex Lifeson are the only guitarists who enter into this place

Fantastic stuff. Great cut from great album, by "the paramount guitar avatar".

this song is it!!! imagine a man getting his car stopped by a mob..and the man gets out the car with a long leather coat on with shades and a guitar straddled on his back and he takes off his shades and his eyes glow and the people back off....dressed in all black of course!

Climbs28, I partially agree with you, and admittedly I have a small obsession with both Alex Lifeson and Steve Vai. That said, JB is THE father of all shredders, IMO. Vai (and who can deny HIS talent) feels the two most notable guitarists of modern music are Alan Holdsworth and, yup you guessed it, JB. Of course there are many amazing players out there, and I don't mean to turn this into a "who's best" discussion. Still, no logical argument can deny Beck's importance to the instrument.

This is the first Jeff Beck song I ever heard. When I went back to check out his older stuff I was blown away by how much he had evolved his style. He's really not content to stick with the same old licks. JB is probably unsurpassed as far as living guitarists go. Of course I know the kind of trouble claims like that can get me into...

2/2 Good to hear you son digs it! Not surprised it blew him it away. Jeff shows up the lacking in the likes of John 5 and others...who all have a long way to go to ever reach the maturity of the master craftsman's strokes. Jeff "no plec" Beck is the King string pukka plucker ;-j

1/2 Yep, th@'s some bonus you got alright. Great album isn't it! I was banging on some time ago, on another post somewheres, about the lack of JB on the airways, in the UK @ least. Jazz too and the lack of it. Are JB & and jazz considered too innovative and 'dangerous' for consumption by the masses!?! I was mightily racked off when Classic FM dumped their sister station 'theJazz' off the FM & cable onto online only. Got enough apps. running on my 'puter, want to hear radio on the radio or cable.
