One (of many) of my favorite Pointer Sisters tracks, backed by a few stills and sleeves from my collection. This song appeared on early pressings of the 'Break Out' album. Randy Crawford also released a solid version the same year.

The producers probably decided they didn't want 2 versions of the same song out in the wild. And if you listen to the Michael Jackson version, it's weak and doesn't mesh well with the rest of Thriller.

Thanks I love it! I don't know which I prefer between this and the one of Michael Jackson. What genre of song it is? Pop-Funk??

I have great admiration for the music created by the Pointer Sisters but this is loud - very "shouty", and it drags on for too long. In my opinion, Randy Crawford realy "owns" this song and does by far the best version. (Michael Jackson's own version is horrendous!)

That would be cool. But I will say that BBR has reissued almost all of the Pointers' Planet albums on CD, including b-sides and alternate mixes, etc. -- this song included on the 'Break Out' 2-CD edition.

I know this will date me but, The Cassette has this song. I love this song. I think The Pointer sisters should release a B-sides and rarities with this on it.

Just got my copy. Other Pointer albums are already rereleased on BBR. Pointer fans, you must buy the Break Out double deluxe CD, with all remixes, single cuts, 12" and import mixes. Nonstop dance party!

@hawkhulk If you have the LP with it on it, that's really cool. Because most of the copies floating around have "I'm So Excited" instead of "Nightline." The CD reissue maintained that second tracklisting instead of the first.

It is strange but that song is not on the CD but on the LP.

The first 31 seconds of this song are epic. Love it. Remember listening to this as a kid!

Which one sings the lead on this song ? Is it June or Anita ? Sounds more like June, but I'm not sure...

@chrisinbarnes I agree. Pointer Sisters ruled this song. I didn't know so many people had done this song.
