One (of many) of my favorite Pointer Sisters tracks, backed by a few stills and sleeves from my collection. This song appeared on early pressings of the 'Break Out' album. Randy Crawford also released a solid version the same year.

The producers probably decided they didn't want 2 versions of the same song out in the wild. And if you listen to the Michael Jackson version, it's weak and doesn't mesh well with the rest of Thriller.10 years назад

I have great admiration for the music created by the Pointer Sisters but this is loud - very "shouty", and it drags on for too long. In my opinion, Randy Crawford realy "owns" this song and does by far the best version. (Michael Jackson's own version is horrendous!)12 years назад

That would be cool. But I will say that BBR has reissued almost all of the Pointers' Planet albums on CD, including b-sides and alternate mixes, etc. -- this song included on the 'Break Out' 2-CD edition.12 years назад

@hawkhulk If you have the LP with it on it, that's really cool. Because most of the copies floating around have "I'm So Excited" instead of "Nightline." The CD reissue maintained that second tracklisting instead of the first.12 years назад
