Come in here, Dear boy, have a cigar.

You're gonna go far,

You're gonna fly high,

You're never gonna die,

You're gonna make it, if you try,

They're gonna love you.

Well I've always had a deep respect,

And I mean that most sincerely.

The band is just fantastic,

that is really what I think.

Oh by the way, which one's Pink?

And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?

We call it Riding the Gravy Train.

We're just knocked out.

We heard about the sell-out.

You gotta get an album out.

You owe it to the people.

We're so happy we can hardly count.

Everybody else is just green,

Have you seen the chart?

It's a helluva start,

It could be made into a monster

If we all pull together as a team.

And did we tell you the name of the game, boy?

We call it Riding the Gravy Train.

uno dei migliori brani in assoluto dei Floyd, pezzo molto sottovalutato! Ma preferisco l' originale!

this version sucks, to clean, not gritty like the Waters version

@RockAndRollMassacre: This isn't so much Roy Harper trying to sound like Gilmour as it is Gilmour *himself* trying to make a stab at it. In interviews, he said he felt he couldn't give it a vocal treatment he could be satisfied with, so they brought Harper in.

On bbc four tonight was a documentary about wish you were here. It explains about how Roy Harper volunteered to sing this track

If you watch any documentaries on Floyd, several have the original and it does indeed sound just like this. Roy Harper did both this and the album version as David and Roger's voices weren't quite right for it. In the end, David liked it, Roger didn't, but it went on to become the classic it did.
