loved this song. I was in early 20s during this era. Randy was very unique sounding. I loved him and Mylon, Michael W and Amy.

They might be thinking of their friend Keith Green, who wrote this song with Randy I've met Randy and his wife and their dog , got to help with some of the gear for the CD table ,,,

oh my gosh, wish I would have known about this concert. Would definitely have gone, I saw Randy Stonehill in concert a couple times, one of my all time favorite artists, got to meet him and even have a short conversation last time!!!

Hey there, have a look at not commercial christian music e.g.: Jason Silver or Soul Surprise on Jamendo or Alterum Saxum here on youtube or on Jamendo. May be you do not like that music but it has sould and some is more complex (e.g. Father's Love from Alterum Saxum). Another thing are bands like "2Tm2,3" - you can find them here on youtube. From poland I think but has soul and is good music. There is music but you have to search away from the mainstream. God bless you

And why don't CCM stations play Nicole Mullins? You'd think they'd do "oldies hour" or "Golden Goodies" or something. Not much challenges any more. It's all soft soap, lifeless "christianity" - vanilla. BTW - forgot to mention that some of Brandon Heath's work is pretty good. "Jesus in Disguise" for instance.

Have to agree: CCM has become so pedestrian, and the "Christian" stations don't play anything other than commercial pap. I miss Green, Mullins, Rez Band, The Choir, Michael Bloodgood... And dare I say One Bad Pig? Innovative, insightful, thoughtful artists who love God. Don't despair. There are God-loving, innovative artists who don't buy into The Radio game. Find them, buy them, listen to them, share God's love through REAL music!

Where are the Larry Normans, Keith Greens, Randy Stonehills, Greg Volz, Joe Markkos and Phil Keaggy's of THIS generation? What happened to Christian music? Does it REALLY need to be simplistic 4 chord commercial rock? ...or is the real message (as shown for years by these wonderful Jesus music veterans) a bit more important than that?

This song was written: music by Keith Green, Words by Randy Stonehill. Both of them performed it.

It's already uploaded Jac9z I believe there are 3 different versions of it or videos of it out now I agree with indianajonesfan87's comment. However the genre is switched for hard core christian gospel music The Genre for Good Biblical music now is Gangster rap 1. Flame "make war" 2. Lecreae "Boasting" "strung me out" "wait" "God is Enough" and many other songs 3. T-Bone "demon Killa" "wipe your tears" "last street preacha"4 4. Trip Lee "who he is" "superstar" "far away feat. lecrea"

@conveyingtheflame Randy preformed yesterday at our church and he said that him and Keith wrote this song together in 1976....it is very Keith :)

@CCinWheaton I'm pretty sure that this one was a co write between Randy and Keith, with the intention of giving it to the guitar virtuoso of Phil Keaggy.
