Mary sings tenor, below Peter's light alto, in near falsetto. Mary's voice is so strong and pure in that low register that she often sings the lower harmony when Paul takes the lead.

Yeah, I had pretty much made up my mind it had to be Stookey's voice. I was trying to force the idea that since it's Paul obviously singing "Don't Think Twice..." and Mary singing "Blowing in the Wind", then Peter should be singing "Quit Your Lowdown Ways", as the group was always very democratic about divving up their vocals. Not the case here. Thanks to all for your informed responses.

No doubt about it, it's Noel (Paul). FYI, his voice is way deeper than Peter's, and this is one of his "rare" lead vocals, from back then.

Yarrow sings harmony throughout almost the entire song, but I'm pretty sure the melody is sung exclusively by Stookey.

I have this album (and all others by PP&M), and this is a great version of the Bob Dylan song. But for the life of me I cannot figure out whether it's Peter or Paul who takes the lead vocal on this song. While I'm listening to some parts I'm thinking, this is definitely Paul, but then in other parts, well, it sounds like it's gotta be Peter. Somebody help!
