tell me the way to go...

Peter Hammill (audio only) plays the song "Faint Heart and the Sermon" from the now seemingly unavailable album "The Peel Sessions", recorded live and solo 19th August 1974 for the BBC Radio One John Peel radio sessions - first broadcast 3rd September 1974 - added as a bonus track to the recently remastered album "In Camera".

I compiled the video myself utilising footage mostly downloaded from YouTube, with some of my own added effects and filters.

Please check out my other videos.

Comments are most welcome.

@maguskh By the way, the reason I haven't (yet) uploaded anything else from the Peel Sessions is that the other tracks were from different sessions on different days/years, and IMHO were not so powerfull.

Thank ya' Steve, I noticed it. The other 'Peel Sessions'-tracks (that weren't released on the rem. I.C.-CD) would be GREAT! Try to post it. Pete had a great moment on this very day!

By the way, you may have already noticed but I have also uploaded both "Sub-Mariner" and "Emperor" to You Tube (back in May). If I get the oportunity, I shall upload some of the other 'Peel Sessions' tracks, because it seems to no longer be available.

I first heard these when they were first released on the album "Peel Sessions", which seems to be no longer available.

The "skeleton"-versions of 'Faint-Heart', 'Submariner' and 'Emperor', for the JohnPeelShow, are my PH-Favorites: real masterpieces only with piano and vocals. Published as bonus-tracks on the remastered "In Camera"-CD. FaintHeart and Submariner even much better than their studio-versions. How unfortunate that only a handful of hardcore PH/VdGG-fans listens. Must I really become a radio-man to make them heard to the world ???

The videos are not important - only the music. I hope you continue to enjoy my efforts.

You are right, my videos are often similar. The reason (as you know) is it can be time-consuming to edit videos. However, every video is different by some degree. The length is different. I try to add some new footage downloaded from other videos, but sometimes the differences are small. The important thing is to make the music more widely available, especially the rare versions. I prefer to create a video than see a blank screen, even if the videos are similar.

Check out "The Emperor In His War Room" and "(No More) The Sub Mariner", also from The Peel Sessions, now both uploaded.
