@mr1time100 Paul Simon appeared more than once on Oprah's show and confirmed that this song was written specifically as the theme song for the 10th season of "The Oprah Winfrey Show". The Show asked him to write it. And then last year (2011), Paul updated the song for the Oprah Show's 25th and final season.

this song was actually written before the 10th anniversary show of oprah, in the early 90's, it was really not written fo oprah, maybe said it was, but look it up, for real, it's not, maybe now it's her song, but was written a few years before her 10th season for an album he decided not to put it on
