Definitely one of Paul's greatest ballads. As for McCartney II the album, I do like the more standard songs on the album but can't take the ones that are way out there.

This is one of my all time fave McCartney songs, I don't like the album it comes from (McCartney II) in fact I think it's his absolute worste album, but this song is absolute top notch!

This song sounds like it could have been written after his Tokyo drug bust 1980 (like as if he wrote this song in response to the error of his ways at that time). But in fact, it was recorded in the summer of 1979.
