I'm looking for a sign that I can't see

The good the bad and somewhere in between

The warning signs, the urban grinds me down

The kids are building fires by their homes

The smoke is sending signals out in code

Got these safety suits, and this parachute but I don't know

Gotta Stop, Drop, Roll

When all these walls come down they'll shake us

We fight not to be weightless

All these stars hit ground they'll wake us

We fight not to be weightless

Im choking on the words that I can't say

My lungs are full but letters are misplaced

Junkyard dogs and cherry bombs set off

The sun the sky the moon will fall apart

Come tumbling down just like a house of cards

The fire escapes, lush landscapes they fade

I can feel this heavy weight hanging around my neck

I can feel your heartbeat bringing me back again

OLP was my childhood. Just hearing this for the first time, it sounds like they've still got it!

I always found their music to be very powerful and full of emotion. It is one of the reasons they are one of my favourite bands. That and just the sheer amazingness of the music they create.

For those people who don't like the music OLP creates now compared to what they used to do 15 years ago, it's called evolving and growing. I'm glad they sound different.

Stop hating on musicians trying to stay alive in the market we have created. Wrap your head around what's going on.. Dumbshite. Now you consider that behind you're computer screen, you person with a big mouth and no face.

When are you guys going to take the IN REPAIR model to the next level? That mechanical feel (industrial) is your niche....go with it!

Curve is OLP 2013. If you really like the OLP pre-Gravity then chances are you might find specifics about this album you really love but yearning for something a bit more at the same time. Curve isn't their best work but it is certainly their best since Spiritual Machines, IMO. Check it out, what have you got to lose?

tone to it. Similar to how the first four albums were. This album really is a snapshot of where the band his now in their careers. They aren't the same boys who wrote Clumsy over 15 years ago. They've aged and matured and Curve is a reflection of that progression. I can tell the band put in a great deal of effort and passion into this album. I appreciate them for that, because if a band isn't feeling it when writing an album then it will show. But Curve is the exception. Curve isn't OLP 1998 -

Curve isn't a complete throw back to the old sound. If anything, it does a great job of mixing their old sound with the new sound(everything post gravity). While elements of their old work resonates in the new album, you can still clearly hear just how much the band has changed. Not just the way Raine sings but mostly by Steve's guitar work. He brings a different sound and style than what Turner gave us. Though, just by listening to the album, I can tell it has its own distinct weight, feel and

..that band I used to love so much. This song is totally Our Lady Peace, start to finish. And how I've missed it. I may have to go and give a listen to the rest of Curve to see if it's not just a one-off, but I'm actually a little scared. I don't want to be disappointed. So maybe I'll just keep this one in loop for a while. Amazing song :-)

..and before. But then something happened a few weeks back. I was in the car with my mom and dad, and the radio was on CHOM (Montreal rock station). Now I never, ever listen to the radio (mostly cause so much new music sucks, and I don't wanna hear it repeated 10 times a day, but I digress). But my dad likes CHOM, so that's what we were listening to. Then this song starts. I'd never heard it before, but I recognized that voice immediately. And then, miraculously, in this song, I heard..

Our Lady Peace used to be my favorite band, when I was in high school and college. I've seen them live 6 times. But, to me, Gravity was their last really amazing album. I heard Paranoid Times, and there was a song or two that was ok, but on the whole, I didn't really care for the album, and that kind of ended my OLP obsession. I've never even heard Burn Burn or Curve, I could never muster up the interest, the band I'd loved so long had changed too much. I still listen to them, but only Gravity..

The other songs on Curve are good but this is the only song that truly sounds like classic OLP. Catchy chorus' and different verses are what OLP are best for and should stay that way.
