You might want to ask Carol what she thinks of the so called 'Wrecking Crew' before you go associating her name with it...

AS a bass player, I can say that she was a major influence on my career. If I could play as well as her I'd be rich.Paul McCartney, Carol Kaye,Jack Bruce, Chris Squire, and Tony Levin are my all time favorate bass players.

I think I havent seen her breath once in this interview, wtf?

I'm cool with her except for her claim that she played on Motown records instead of James Jamerson. You played on remakes for a TV show and by other artists not the original. Quit lying.

Jann Wenner's hatred of Chicago is well-known. Chicago should be in the RRHOF solely based on their first 2 albums.

The R & R hall of fame is total politics. If your not in their "click" you don't get in. Chicago is not in the Hall of fame How many huge hits have they had?

I worked with Los Angeles studio guitarist Jerry Cole, who was part of the 1st call studio roster. I remember him mentioning the term 'Wrecking Crew' a number of times. He was there in the studios sitting next to Hal Blain, Carol Kaye, Tommy Tedesco and many others back in the day..

love hearing her stories. i wonder what she thinks of esperanza spalding. For another great female bassist check out our sister debbie who played on stage with the greatest rnb groups of the 70's. check out debbie on our brown sugar video watch?v=gqDSKcXP5A0

IMO it is the result of claims to music that she says that she played on that has proven incorrect (by the people who actually recorded said music) on so many levels that she is in the situation she is in with the RRHOF. Anybody familiar with the claims made knows exactly what is meant...

I can't speak for Carol, and won't. You can go to her website where there's a wealth of information about her career. :)

Just a question. Why does she find the name as offensive? Maybe she called them The Clique, and maybe that is why she finds the other name offensive. But is there another implication to the name? I don´t think it is offensive at all, suggests power and professionalism...at least no one called them The Assholes...lol...not flaming, just a question to try to learn more about this issue. Thank you!

I'm not saying that she's not an awesome bassist! Like I said, she made some really awesome basslines! But I've heard a lot about her behavior being rude. I should have just said that, not that she's a "huge jerk". I'm not dismissing her, I still respect her and learn choose to learn from her.

Although, you have to admit Rush is an amazing band but they still have yet to induct them. I don't like Kiss either.
