I worked with Los Angeles studio guitarist Jerry Cole, who was part of the 1st call studio roster. I remember him mentioning the term 'Wrecking Crew' a number of times. He was there in the studios sitting next to Hal Blain, Carol Kaye, Tommy Tedesco and many others back in the day..12 years назад

IMO it is the result of claims to music that she says that she played on that has proven incorrect (by the people who actually recorded said music) on so many levels that she is in the situation she is in with the RRHOF. Im 56 years old, and met Carol Kaye In the Denver airport when I was 21. I was heading back to New York, My hometown, and she was On her way to L.A. we started a conversation cause we Both had "Gig Bags" On our shoulders. She was a.One of the Nicest, Most encouraging people to me Id ever met and b. Just a badd ass Musician! matter of fact,when I told her My very 1st Bass Book was written By her she smiled and said, "well when you make it, tell em I taught you everything you know". Just a question. Why does she find the name as offensive? Maybe she called them The Clique, and maybe that is why she finds the other name offensive. But is there another implication to the name? I don´t think it is offensive at all, suggests power and professionalism...at least no one called them The Assholes...lol...not flaming, just a question to try to learn more about this issue. I'm not saying that she's not an awesome bassist! Like I said, she made some really awesome basslines! But I've heard a lot about her behavior being rude. I should have just said that, not that she's a "huge jerk". I'm not dismissing her, I still respect her and learn choose to learn from her.12 years назад
