Bens originality and improvisation comes out when playing live gigs and i thought this crowd denied him any chance to add anything in cos they were screaming the cookie-cutter lyrics down his throat. meh what do i know? i wasnt fortunate enough to be there, thank you for posting this vid tho. its interesting

ya ya the crowd getting excited and joining in is one thing, but a group of degenerates howling so loud that you cant even hear ben is a bit much. especially when ben folds changes it up every time he plays. he doesnt just rhyme off the album version everytime, but they missed out on these little tweaks and so did we cos some brainless rednecks couldnt just chill and enjoy genius. All you jack-wagons crying about the crowd singing need to stfu. This isn't a paid concert. This is in a Starbucks with about 30 people. And think about this: how many times do you see artists at huge concert arenas stop singing and hold their microphone out to the crowd to get them to sing along? All the time. They love it. The energy in this tiny room must have been unbelievable. Wish I was there.

@toddbolden So...about a century and a half ago? People have been screaming and singing along since, oh...the Beatles, Bo Diddley...people were quiet for symphonies, though. I, too, wish it were like the old symphony days.

wooo i looove ben folds!! holy crap, did he dress up as an employee then bust the piano out?? ahhh i think it sounds pretty awesome with the audience in it too. true, you can't really hear ben all that well, but it's good that everyone was getting into it. lol. i love how at the end, he's like, "ok back to work"

people dont perform to listen to themselves play, they perform for others enjoyment why would the audience just sit there if they want to sing along and show their support for a great artist while having a good time? hes in a barista outfit for crying out loud its not a formal orchestral concert
