I remember in 1974 the Dolls were booed by a bunch of whole earth hippie rednecks or rednicks. I saw them at MN State Fair in 1974--several months later--I shaved my head and renounced the whole earth stuff.

@thegroupharmonyalley few people knows that new york dolls too much too son was made of more covers than original songs ( i was one of them :P) as the beatles everyone thinks twist and shout its original ... maybe cause those bands were from the 50's and not so much famous than the beatles of the new york dolls in the pop culture
