I lived in the Bay Area from 1983-1986 and my last week before moving, we stayed in SF for a week. We re-visited certain sites before moving away and I saw the scene on Lombard Street being filmed. I didn't know who Neil Young was then, I was 15 years old, but I remember asking a lady what was being filmed. She said a Neil Young video. I remember I thought it was pretty cool. My father filmed part of the scene on VHS. I never could find the video or knew the song, until now. Thank you for posting this and bringing back memory.

I especially like this song, Violent Side, Touch the Night, Pressure, I've Got a Problem, and Drifter. No question there was at least one side's worth of good material on this album.

@horseytown I read about the album before owning it and so I put it off for some time while I collected the rest of Neil's work. When I finally heard the stripped down electro-punk power trio guitar/CAPITAL 'D' DRUMS/keyboard... I was confused... how was this the "commercial" sounding album I had read about over the years? Commercial music isn't this angry... commercial music is never this good.

This album is terrifically underrated. I know why it is, and I do not not fault people who are horrified by the sound, but I love how confrontational this is. I am skeptical as anyone else when I hear that an album has been excused as a "fuck you" to a record label, but the videos for this, "Weight of the World" and "Pressure" make it CRYSTAL CLEAR that this was the case. I love the songs "Pressure" and "I've Got A Problem" and the videos for WOTW and POTS sold me on them, too..great concept LP

lol,I beleive this was one of the recordings he did to get outa his Geffen contract!,later after sued Neil saying that this music was "unrepresenting of Himself".didnt want to have "crazy Horse"affiliated,& picked up three "rock& roll" dudes wearing Pink!...Look Like they had the same choreographer as "Hot for Teacher",lol!... did that dude just step in Dog shit?!?...
