Best video of Shilo you will ever see! The pictures tell the story of the song Perfectly! Shilo is a beautiful song written and performed by Neil Diamond and for the past 15 years I have always wanted to make a video about it. I finally found the time to do it after dreaming about it all these years (completed March 2009). I took photos from my past and edited them to fit Neil's song so it would tell the story the way I had always envisioned it. I used pictures from my childhood days, of myself from the late 80's & early 90's, and photos of my friends. None of the pictures were staged for this video and all of them are from different photo albums from my past (except for 2 or 3 that I borrowed). Alot of them are from my Star Trek & Batman days because I worked in the Star Trek business for 10 years and I have been a professional Batman since the later 1980's. That is why you will see a Batman and Star Trek theme to it. The awesome pictures of Neil Diamond are from the 1972 "Hot August Night" concert. This is a great song and an excellent video! Enjoy!

This is how we all should be... friends to help each other. Years ago, I was going up to Duluth, Minnesota to do something up there from Sauk Rapids (where I live near), and I stayed at a motel in Superior, Wisconsin. and when I was going to go swimming, I seen a 4 year old girl wandering around by the pool. She was walking towards the pool when she fell in. I immediately jumped in almost the same time the kid fell in and I saved her from drowning. She was by the deep end of the pool. This song sure covers it all. Such a beautiful song.

very nice. Imaginary friends. It's good to know you have a friend who understands and accepts you for who you especially are.

Remembering...when I was a little girl, I would listen to the 45 of Neil Diamond's Shilo, which I was NOT named after, notice the spelling, but I, none the less, aspired to be this girl. I wanted to be Shilo, the one who came when no else would, the one who made people smile, the one who made her friends feel like they could fly, the one who would stay, never leave you alone, the one who understands... I never really connected the part about the leaving one day... anyhow, I sometimes wonder if I set myself up for some rather unrealistic expectations for myself, even so... I still want to be her... the one who always comes when no one else does, who stays, who understands, who elicits smiles and makes you believe you can fly. *And, yes, I realize, Shilo is actually an imaginary friend...

I grew up in a broken home and as a little kid rescued a Husky puppy when I was 10 years old. I named him after this song. I'm 31 now and just managed to get the nerve to get another dog.
