Whilst a lot of comments are aimed at comparing Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley, think about this, at the time of this concert, September 1976 Neil was 35yrs of age, at the height of his abilities as a performer, singer, songwriter, he was in all respect the biggest music star in the world, Elvis was 41yrs old, a mere six years older, and should have been in the prime of his career, he wasn't, he was battling severe health worries, his star was waning, and sadly, a year later he would be dead, the comparisons are being made against the later years Elvis, who, lets be honest, couldn't hold a candle to Neil Diamond at that time, this really is a non debate, and it is frustrating that many Elvis fans are loathe to admit, their hero was a victim of his own excesses, I read a comment from someone, stating, "If Elvis had of been more like Neil, and I interpret that as conducting his life more like Neil, he would not have died when he did, and may still be alive today, I have immense respect for Elvis, as a singer, performer, and as a man, but it must be realised, that he made some bad choices in his life, choices which regrettably cost him his life, Elvis music will live on, as will Neil Diamond's, let us just be thankful we have lived in a time to enjoy the immense talents of both artists,For all you Neil fans, and music lovers generally, please listen to Neil's new song here on you tube, it is called "The Art Of Love" it is one of the most beautiful songs I have heard, it features on Neil's forthcoming album, Melody Road.

I have been reading the comments comparing Neil Diamond and Elvis Presley, there is no comparison, they are different, for me Neil Diamond is more talented on a musical level, he writes, sings, and has equally as strong a presence on stage as Elvis, both can sure as hell sing, there is no difference vocally, Elvis was fantastic as a singer, but he couldn't write a song or melody if his life depended on it, I believe Neil has surpassed Elvis, as he has remained true to himself, whereas Elvis became a parody of himself, all that aside, both Neil and Elvis are formidable talents.

Oh hold on there...I adore Neil but Elvis (spelled E-L-V-I-S (BTW) is (was) no singer to sneeze at. Elvis had a voice unmatched - you have to admit. Whether you like him or not. That voice was beautiful in it's on right. I miss him...and Neil for that matter!!

Why do you have to compare? There is no question Neil Diamond is an awesome performer, artist, and song writer. However, Elvis was also quite the performer with an awesome presence. Let's celebrate both men for their contributions to the great music industry!
