The wonderful vocals by Dan McCafferty sound incredibly similar in range and tone to the equally wonderful vocals of an unknown singer who fronted an extremely obscure band in the late 1960s called Bulbous Creation. Even to this day, nobody has any idea who any of the members of Bulbous Creation were. Most people reckon that were just a group of competent session musicians who came together to record one album, which at the time wasn't even released. Maybe Dan McCafferty was the vocalist but for some reason didn't want to publicize it ...??!!! I guess it is unlikely, mainly because most of the Bulbous Creation members were said to be from the Kansas area in the US and McCafferty is Scottish. Still though, the similarity in vocal styles is remarkable. Check out Bulbous Creation and see for yourself. Both Nazareth and Bulbous Creation are exceptional bands and a joy to listen to. :)
