Terrible performance... Cream was so much better, and Eric Clapton is obviously totally wasted here...

George Terry played with Clapton for a while when Clapton was bored of the whole guitar god thing. he was more interested in creating a groove and was content to play rhythm while someone else took the solo...

Pretty good. But he is obviously drunk. The BBC tv studio bar was legendary in the 1970's. Guests could drink as much as they liked before filming. And the alcoholics obviously went way too far. There are many legendary shows were the guests were drunk. Tv show production has all been outsourced now of course and run like a business nowadays. It was probably a lot more fun for everyone back then. Oh well.

it may sound bad because clapton was trying to play the bass with the guitar at the same time for the first half of the song the bass is what carried the song

The original version is far better. Clapton has a habit of ruining this song live.

Wow, this version of Badge is so weak and weedy compared to the Cream version.

I don't understand why he goes down a fourth on the last note at the end of the intro theme phrase ("my car", "too far"). It sounds hokey and imprecise. Cream sang it as two identical notes, which is how we love and have learned to remember this phrase.

So amazing to see Carl Radle on bass, he was always a show to watch him play. And so wonderful to see the 70´s Clapton, before he mellowed out and started pouring out elevator music.
