Nanci Griffith - Hard Times Come Again No More video free download

Here is Nanci Griffith singing that iconic bad times tune by Stephen Foster. Included in the video are the picures of some of the players who helped make our current hard times possible by failing to regulate the mega-banks and Wall Street. It's largely still hats & horns for these rogues. At the end of the piece you will see the photos of three prominent bailed out and bonused bankers. Hard times come again no more with the possible exception of a few politicians and bankers (This is remix number two of a previous upload.)

Beautiful rendition of a very poignant & thoughtful song, by a wonderful songstress, accompanied by a legendary irish group, The chieftains, oh! how I wish we could do more for the poor of this planet.

Dear JanGreat song, great theme. I thought I was doing the right thing by serving in the Army for 22 years. I ended up injured, with a small pension and in pain every day. Did I do the right thing by protecting the bankers!! My pension is about the same as a good lunch for them.

Thank you for such a poignant and touching video. I don't know if my tears were of sadness or the frustration of hopelessness at the wave of greed that is robbing people of their dignity !

Beautiful presentation. Unsentimental and profound. This would make a stone weep, but not just because of its sadness and irony, but more because of it humane tenderness. The choice of the Foster song was perfect.

My son, Bradley, sang this song at the funeral for my first son, Christopher, who suffered 22 years before he died.

Deuteronomy 15:11 "There will always be poor people in the land." Deuteronomy is the 5th book of the Old Testament of the Bible, so there's a lot of history to this. The Bible should also have said "People will always find someone other than themselves to blame." I haven't found it yet, but it's absolute Truth.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered. I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people,...."Thomas Jefferson
