Mumford & Sons live on KBCO radio

Lyrics:

I ran away in floods of shame

I'll never tell how close I came

As I cross the Holland road

You went left and I went right

As the moon hung proud and white

You would have loved it here tonight

Spin me round just to pin me down

On the cover of this strange bed

Spin me round just to pin me dowm

Roll out your questions keep them down

Let the water lead us home

And I was sorry for what I'd done

You were young I was not old

But our story was not told

But torn apart by greedy hands

Spin me round just to pin me down

On the cover of this strange bed

spin me round just to pin me down

Spin me round just to pin me down

I'll be gone by the nights end

Spin me round just to pin me down

But I'll be home in a little while

Lover I'll be home

And I'll be home in a little while

Lover I'll be home

And I'll be home in a little while

Lover I'll be home

And I'll be homw in a little while

Lover I'll be home

I never liked home. 3 attempted suicides 2 nervous break downs and 1 drug overdose. Thought I needed to get away. People found out about my drug addiction and suicidal tendencies. felt completely humiliated. Moved out to Start fresh and get my life straight. I hate it here but I also hate "Home" so I'm kinda stuck

Such a beautiful, honest and absolutely breathtaking song. I could hear it over and over again. While hearing this song there's this special feeling coming over me about Life & Love. Hard to explain. Thanks a lot mumford & sons.

I interpret this song as being about love and death. I think it's a about a man who lost his wife/girlfriend and as a result wanted to die too."I ran away in floods of shame / I'll never tell how close I came" and "You went left and I went right / As the moon hung proud and white / You would have loved it here tonight"He met another woman while out, and slept with her ("spin me round just to pin me down of the cover of this strange bed"), almost got into a relationship with her but was riddled with guilt over thoughts of his dead lover, so he left her during the night, and thought of how much his deceased wife/girlfriend used to love to look up at the moon on a starry night with him. He didn't want to share that with anyone else."You was young, I was not old / But our story was not told / But torn apart by greedy hands"Pretty self-explanatory. They were a young couple, in the prime of their lives when she died (probably the result of someone being reckless, e.g. drunk driver)."I'll be home in a little while / Lover, I'll be home"He either believes in an afterlife, or wants to believe in one, and he's planning on killing himself to be with her again. That's how I see it anyway.

This song is so good, and it literally makes me cry every time I hear it, and THIS is the power of music, I don't think most people understand that music isn't just something to dance to or to listen to while you do your taxes. Every song has a hidden meaning behind it and every song is a story, the musicians story. I listen to music as frequently as I can, because I believe that it stimulates your brain and if you actually listen to the lyrics it's like hearing a story. This song is truly amazing.

This compared to believe, greater. Didnt make the album and i think,it should have. Believe seems like they added alot of fluff to,distract from the fact they have two sentences in that songs and less lyrics to there songs, same with wolf. Hopefully a few songs are there old selves....
