They are still amazing after all these years and they are my friends. I had dinner with them and Robert Fripp and their folks to celebrate the album release at the Bottom Line in NYC. Yea thanks for mentioning Dave Herman& Vin Scelsa. great days

Everybody who's ever worked in a restaurant can relate to this song.

Yep, I have been there, on my knees, scrubbing out behind the steam table. Restaurant folk, like theater folk and circus folk; a fraternity of people making a living on their way to making a living mixed in with the professionals. When it all comes together just right, it is magical. Kind of like the Roches. Yeah, magical! Rock on.

Don't know why this song just makes me cry like a baby.. I don't think it's the words, it's the harmonies that are doing it to me.. Dar Williams finishes the treatement with 'Sometimes Southern California wants to be Western New York' .. In heaven and being ruthlessly tortured!

I never had any desire to hear this group. Just not my thing, I thought. Then I heard that they worked with Robert Fripp, and I realized that there was probably something different about them, so I listened. I fell in love. So sorry that I waited so long to check them out. Thank you, Maggie, Terre, and Suzzy for everything that you give of yourselves and making my life (and so many other lives) so much richer!

Vin Scelsa! I've been away too long. Remember the 'Butch and the Brick'? WNEW was the absolute best Radio Station EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!

@TheIrishtaffy --there's a song they wrote called The Death of Suzzy Roche ... it's just a funny song; Suzzy's alive and well!
