The Moody Blues performed their 1967 song, "Peak Hour", live at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL on Sunday March 14, 2010.

"Peak Hour" is a song from The Moody Blues 1967 album Days of Future Passed, a concept album with each song representing a part of the day. "Peak Hour" is featured on the fourth track, which is titled "Lunch Break." "Peak Hour" was written by the Moody Blues' bassist John Lodge.

The orchestral piece at the beginning of the song, which takes up the first two minutes was composed by Peter Knight, who also arranged "The Day Begins" and the rest of the orchestral sections of Days of Future Passed.

"Peak Hour" is one of the more up-beat songs on Days of Future Passed. This style of upbeat rock and roll songs would ultimately become John Lodge's signature song-writing style for the Moody Blues.

I've seen so many live performances of them ( dvd etc. ), very unlikely that they play this amazing song. One of my favorites!

Ray Thomas is NOT in this video silly, unless you are talking about Norda!! Come on...give her credit...It would be hard to fill Ray's shoes!!! But...she does a damn good job of it!!!

Like the video lots. The Moodies played this song at Sheffield City Hall September 12th 2010 and really rocked the place. Thanks for sharing this and keep the faith.

I've seen a lot of great bands over my 56 years of life...The Who, Yes, The Rolling Stones etc.etc...but, when I went to see The Moody Blues back in 1994 with the Huntsville orchestral, they were the best of them all!!
