Those moments when you're with friends and all your friends are acknowledged and your completely ignored. It's like I don't exist! I appreciate my friends who acknowledge me, but they're all better than me, I mean I'm glad for them, people like them. But I just feel invisible most of the time. I talk and what I have to say isn't important to people. And when I try to stay to myself I'm pointed out and it's humiliating. I try to smile, I try to act like I don't care, I try to be there for everyone else, but I give and give and very little people return the favor. I'm running out of things to give and the next thing I have is to give my life and I'm not even sure if that would be important enough for people to give a damn. Check out this video on YouTube:

I have had legitimate depression since I was about eleven. Probably a bit longer. I grew up getting mentally and verbally abused by practically everyone in my life. My dad was an alcoholic, so on and so forth, stereotypical "broken home" things. It was so bad, though, that I have been sucking in my gut for so many years LITERALLY NONSTOP that it physically hurts to relax it.Anyway, growing up, my mom constantly threatened to just.. Send me away. Found out I was addicted to cutting? "I should send you away." Bad grades? "I should send you away." I was.. A burden. So, I related to this song because I always thought that she truly believed getting rid of me was what she wanted to do, but her "pride" kept her from it.In these later years, however, I grew to realize that my mom just didn't know how to handle me. She knew she had caused damage with her own emotional turmoil and so she felt guilty and she felt like I would get better if she sent somewhere better. Or, I like to think in my heart of hearts that that's the case.I have three suicide attempts under my belt, and I am beyond grateful that I survived them.Remember, the future may look dark. We lose people, people hurt us, but everyone has to deal with that. Be strong. <3
