Lithium makes you numb and less reactive. It's used two different way. One as an antidepressant (My sister takes it for this reason). Also to make people with Bipolar Less reactive to normal triggers (Why I took it). Either way it makes you less caring of the outside world. I stopped taking medication so I could join the service (Ultimately to be declined do to hospitalization as a child) and found that I am a much more pleasant person without them.
