I got to see him a few months before he died. The guitar has never been the same. People think I am a genius because I can do have arsed covers of Micheal Hedges songs; The Master.Rest in peace. I guess that stars that bright have to burn out, lest they catch the whole universe on fire.

Hedges was obviously an amazing and groundbreaking guitar player, but his vocals are so hauntingly beautiful too.

I think he kept looking for a solution he liked for a portable mic. He wore a hat with one for a while, then at some point made this copper helmet with holes that his dreadlocks went through (he shaved his head sometime after that!).
